Ten days ago I had the daunting task of picking up my results from school and finding out the direction of my life for the next few years. There was trepidation, there was shock and then there was an overwhelming relief - I'd got into my first choice university and even managed to pull through with an A in Fine Art. I've now finished school and I've started taking on digital portrait commissions. My digital painting style is like this self portrait I did for my A2-level fine art exam; http://gemneroth.deviantart.com/art/Digital-Figure-Painting-370846811/ . A single portrait commission costs £100 or $150 (double portrait is £200 or $300 ect) and will get you a full resolution version of the painting and you can then have it printed as you wish. I will need to paint from a photograph which you must provide, the photograph needs to be no less than 4 megapixels for me to work in details. A finished painting will take me somewhere between 13 and 20 hours or

I've just finished setting up a little place for a blog and online portfolio. I use deviantART for uploading without discretion so I thought I'd have somewhere for a more selective collection. The site also has a place for me to leave journal entries documenting my progression as an art student, and hopefully later, an animation student. So to those of you that appreciated my PC mods I will be switching now to Windows 7. This is for a few reasons the main one being that I will need Maya next year and for some reason Autodesk don't do their Linux version for students and also Photoshop will be a bonus too. As far as modding is concerned, I don't want to get back into Rainmeter so if I do anything it'll just be wallpapers and wallpaper packs. It's been wonderful, and I'll truly miss it. Linux, goodbye.

Finally my exams are over! I can get back to making art and art videos :D I have a Blender series lined up first, maybe do some trad stuff during the weeks too, if not then definitely after the Blender work. Also thinking of doing some video tutorials, not sure what on yet and I need to find a way of recording my voice...
